Honda HRX 476 C, QXE , Serial No 1143728.


Its the spring that adjust the tension on rear roller chain, one end is longer that the other end of the spring as attached photo : the dirty on is the one to replace.

I have tried . 42994 VK7 A50
76122 VE0 M10

these do not fit. I have looked a parts diagram

Is the original spring faulty?

The spring has jumped off the top hook twice, it's had a good life, , we have 500 sq metes of grass so the machine doesn't owe me.
As it's a pain to stop cutting and refit for the cost I will purchase a new spring

I guess you could squeeze the eye of the spring with pliers to close it - I can't see a new spring being much different, to be honest.
