The company I work for does industrial electrical work. Final connections will be done by a qualified electrician.
I am putting up some outside wall lights connected together with glued conduit. The lights will be fed direct from the fuse board with their own trip, and a light switch inside of the garage. I have 2 questions.
1, can I run 1.5mm singles through the conduit to the switch and lights?
2, what size trip shall I use.
Looking forward to your replies.

I am asking cos I don’t want to bug my work mates on a Sunday and I want to order everything tonight.

Double pole switch to provide isolation of the lights if ( when ) they are damaged or soaked and a Neutral to Earth fault occurs. An RCD will trip on a N to E fault even is the Live the lamps has been switched OFF.

For lighting using B15. B22. E14. E27 or E40 lamp holders has a maximum size of 16A, normal is to use 6A are ceiling roses rated at 6A, normal is to use 1.5 mm² cable. Unless one gets special authorisation outside lights are limited to 150 watt, however for all we know you are wiring a out door sports stadium with 20 x 250 watt flood lights, so we can only guess.

OOO When did the 150W rule come in? I hat to think about the number of 300W & 500W floods i've installed.

A long time ago, all part of building regulations. Today it would be lumen not watts, I think around 2000 around 1992 I worked fitting as you say 100's of 500W and 1500W lamps, but by 2000 it was metal halide and most were 75 to 150 watt, where I worked we had one 500 watt and we had to get planning permission for it.

Was about the same time most places stopped selling the normal halogen fittings and started selling the silly little ones with the shorter lamps

For a long time, I was fitting Osram 100W lamps in the 500W floods.

They were surprisingly bright.
