Big, solid fence between us and new neighbours which is good as they have Rottweilers! Actually v friendly. Neighbours and dogs. But ugly - the fence. Some will be hidden by a new workshop but about 6ft x 20 ft will remain exposed. Any advice please on cover-up options, thanks.

Looks really good but too pricey for my budget. Thanks though, it has given me some ideas, appreciated.

Just screw some trellis to the fence.

and plant some climbers

if the fence is south facing and gets sun -go and buy a few pots of runner beans and some bamboo stakes , they will grow to 6foot high quite quickly -and plant some evergreen climbers for longer term.

Capt N, It@s ugly because it is irregular and part-faded. But it is strong and steady - a good base for something.

As it's your own fence, you can start by giving it a coat of stain.

I use either dark brown or dark green, depending what's going in front of it. I'm considering dazzle-painting one that is behind a wooded patch.

The real stuff grows quickly, looks better, and provides food and shelter for birds. If ivy is an option, plant the real stuff. Got any elsewhere you could translplant?
