About approximately a month ago I had a baxi 636 installed. This replaced my trusty ariston microgenus lol.
Anyhow, I noticed with this boiler the pressure keeps dropping approx 1/4 bar per week.
Initially I thought the boiler is just settling down, air etc, but after the second week I thought this isn't right.
Called the plumber back who basically without hesitation said there's nothing wrong with the boiler, it's new, you have a leak in your pipework somewhere. Even tho, I stated to him that had I have had a leak in the pipework all this time, it would have been prior to this boiler and I would have known about it.
So I decided myself to isolate the boilers CH Flow and return and watched the pressure over a couple of days and sure enough the pressure needle was slowly moving down.
So my Q is, am I right in thinking the issue is with the boiler? Can't see any leaks any were and I also put a balloon on the end of the blow off pipe outside which is still empty.
Any advice what to do?
I' have a feeling when I call baxi for a warranty claim, they'll just say the same thing as the installer.
Some advice would be really helpful or if there is anything else I could check?
Thx

Have you checked if the discharge pipe is wet, or you could put a ballon over it to see if it is discharging

That's what I've done (sorry I called it a blow off pipe lol). Seems empty and dry to me. Will check again today after work.

Sounds like a leaking heat exchanger and you need to get baxi out.
Where does the white plastic pipe discharge ? Can you see if it's dripping at all when the boiler is turned off and cold?

The condensate pipe goes out and into a drain. Haven't seen a leak near this inside and I've had a quick glance on the outside of it and it doesn't seem wet however, to give it a thorough check I would need to remove the insulation unless I'm looking in the wrong place?
We're exactly should I be checking.

It will be dripping from the end of the pipe, theory being the heat exchanger leaks and the water runs out the condense drain.
This will be wet when the boiler is in use as it condenses when in use and runs out that drain. So you need to check when the boiler has been off for a while and cold and not in use. Maybe put a bowl under it or tie a plastic bag over

Just to clarify though, it only condenses when the heating is on right?
So if it's leaking, say overnight with the heating off I should catch it in a bag.
