No, it is not needed. Your gas safe installer should know what’s required as well.

Im not up on prices, as I’m not self employed. It does seem pretty reasonable to me though, all the training we have to go through etc. Let me put a varied spin on it, if your car needs work doing to it, and the only price available was £180, would you think twice?
