Hi, I want to replace some block paving at the front.

There is a 630x630 clark galvanised metal manhole cover on the side.

I'm wanting to put in a recessed manhole cover and make it look tidier but can only find 600x600. Obviously the size isn't the same. Is there something else that can go on underneath so the slightly smaller cover could fit properly?

TIA

What is the original manhole sitting on; Brick, plastic chamber? And what are the dimensions of the chamber?

Yes well thanks for telling me the obvious which I didn't do! Having checked the brick chamber is a few inches smaller than the manhole so a slightly smaller one will sit on no problems. Thanks, I have no idea why i didn't have the common sense to lift it, just thinking too much about the blocks i guess
