I would say they are G5.3 not GU10 likely 12 volt and they simply pull out.

Not referring to the inner bulb, the entire thing..
the round bit, that is painted to the ceiling. Score around it to break the bond, then pull down.

Actually you are right. i managed to pull one out. it had two small pins
