Undermining democracy? The Poles voted for their current government and voted in Andrzej Duda twice. Who voted for Ursula Von De Leyen?
A very simplistic view of Polish democracy.
True Duda has been voted in twice. But 2015 was the first time in Poland that any party secured an outright majority.
Immediately the government moved to take control of state TV and radio, which led to demonstrations across the country.
The second house (elected in Poland) also reorganised the judiciary, despite protests from those very judges concerned, leading to conflict with the EU.
There have been some incidences in the Polish Parliament where opposition MPs have been excluded.

There has been an immediate and pronounced rise in left-wing movements in Poland.
It is a worrying time for Poland's constitutions. It could potentially be a precursor to take over by a 'dictator'.

Poland get a massive hand out from the EU and I doubt there is a majority in Poland to leave ?

and it would be to no ones advantage ( apart from putin) if the EU collapsed into chaos

Would that be a 'dictator' that hadn't been elected? One that then imposes their laws over the elected government and judges appointed by the elected government?

Sounds rather similar to the EU commission.

There is no appetite in Poland to leave the EU as far as i'm aware. Their aim is not the same as Brexit.

I think you should read a bit about the PiS.

the last 2 elections werent very democratic (due to PiS abuse of state resources and state media) and the PiS is currently taking control of the judiciary and the coutnry is basically being run by decree

If you want a debate about the democracy of the EU, versus say the UK or the USA, by all means we can have one, but in this context its whataboutery. (you will find the EU is in many ways far more democratic than the UK)

Poland already has a dictator, its called the EU.

Quote..
In its statement, the European Commission said, "EU law has primacy over national law, including constitutional provisions."

"All rulings by the European Court of Justice are binding on all member states' authorities, including national courts," it added, warning that it would "not hesitate to make use of its powers under the treaties to safeguard the uniform application and integrity of Union law".

you have ignored the points Angeleyes has made

you cannot win an argument by ignoring detail and nuance, democracy is more than just simple voting.

Donald Tusk was president if the European council for 5 years.

Did I mention Poland has 52 MEPs?

your claim of dictator has just fallen apart.

Poland may not be in favour of exiting the EU at the moment but that may not be the case in near future.
Unless the EU reforms and stops trying to force it's so called values on those countries whose cultural norms differ, then there will be some sort of confrontation.

How many MEPs did the UK have ?
It didn't stop the UK from leaving did it.

The Poles won't vote to leave the EU until the money runs out, or the situation becomes so intolerable that the people will revolt.
The EU can't survive another exit of a Union member.
The end of the EU could be sooner than we could have anticipated.

The EU is now the biggest existential threat to peace in Europe since Hitler.
In the west they have been stoking division in N.Ireland and In the East they have been interfering in the internal affairs of supposedly sovereign states like Poland and Hungary.

democracy is more than just simple voting
That is nonsense, people get the government they vote for.
Just because you don't like their political beliefs , that doesn't make the Polish electoral system any less legitimate.
