Gonna put Door stop behind door through tiles in this bathroom. Would there be a pipe behind the door (circled)?

Beg, borrow, or steal a metal detector. One will detect copper pipes if it is plumbed in copper. Plastic plumbing is more difficult.

It’s unlikely, but not impossible. Thermal imaging camera may help or as Harry suggested.

50/50 ... that being said I wouldn't expect a pipe to be there unless there was a hangover from a rad that was previously behind the door.

Can you get them?

I put a door stop in another wall-the other side of wall is toilet. Any risk? The screws snapped when I tried to take them out from skirting they were so stiff

External walls are always free of stuff I guess electrics for alarm etc above come through wall and not running up and down bricks

Stick it to the wall instead of drilling the tile, or use a stand-alone type that sits on the floor.

Some of the Caterpillar android phones have IR cameras.

You can pick up an old S60 for as little as £150 on ebay from time to time.

A "council" employed plumber in my local says his is really useful for finding underfloor heating pipes.

I dont rely on my detectors totally. Seem to beep all the time and you end up thinking you cant drill anywhere
