Hardly, as you should now, it happens and much more likely if a DIY'er were trying to add cables.
Probably true ... but, as you've said, you would be equally opposed to having the cables in the same 'containment' even if there was no such risk during installation.

The Regulations do not permit it, so what sensible person would condone it?
