No country has the capacity to knock out a ICBM.
yes it does, its been done

The U.S. Navy Aegis combat system uses RIM-161 Standard Missile 3, which hit a target going faster than ICBM warheads. On 16 November 2020 an SM-3 Block IIA interceptor successfully destroyed an ICBM in mid-course, under Link-16 Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC).

Russin has ICBM of 5000kt capacity
similar to the USA -Russia supposedly has more, but given the destructive power, the number is not material.

and in Ukraine, the banning of the Russian lingo is schools and public building
thats a lie

"Although Russia repeatedly claims that Russian speakers were under threat in Crimea and Donbas, it is the Ukrainian language that has come under attack as soon as Russia took actual or effective control, as well as Ukrainian history and culture. "

I was reading about this today, although it's been done the UK doesn't have the capability. :(

Why intensify NATO troop and gear in for instance eastern europe when being in NATO is seen to protect them.

Because Russia has been building up its armed forces for years now. I recall a news report from about 5 years ago from Poland, and people were getting increasingly worried then because of the increase in activity from Russia.

Some think we've woken the sleeping bear, but the bear was never asleep. It's been plotting and growing.

If you could get info which I think is doubtful ICBM interception isn't a dead cert. Also not sure how much ICBM figure now or how accurate these snippets are

Presently, the BrahMos missile is the fastest supersonic cruise missile in the world which is designed and developed to be launched from ships, aircraft, land or submarine. India and Russia is jointly engaged in the development of the BrahMos missile. This is also the fastest cruise missile in the world.

For comparison, the US Tomahawk cruise missile – the United States Navy and Royal Navy's go-to long range missile-system – is subsonic, travelling around 550 mph and travelling a maximum distance around 1500 miles.

The new stuff is capable of going either way around the world these days. Not in the USA's case - it seems. India tested another recently that hit mach 7.5, China is in to them as well.

The faster they are the harder to hit, the quicker they get there and either way round the world means that warning systems need to work on that basis as well.

LOL The arms race is over - or seemed to be. Regan's stars war that resulted in nothing new must have ended it. All are made so they will never be used

For peace people have to compromise otherwise there would be a lot more bloodshed. Do idiots really believe that president Putin will want to be humiliated. Grow up for FFS.
