Putin talking today at a packed Luzhniki stadium, everyone gathered to celebrate 8th anniversary of annexation of Crimea.

Something very reminiscent about this on some levels, reminds me of gatherings that took place during WW2. Seeing a stadium full of people laughing, smiling, singing with the Z on prominent display is quite chilling. Let's not think about the 100s of people being killed in Ukraine and millions being displaced whilst we merrily celebrate an illegal annexation.

Shame on them.

and the irony is that Putin want a de-nazification agreement obliging Ukraine not tolerate Nazis.

Z will be the new swastika

'And you know, I remember these words from the bible ...'

It literally beggars belief.

Seems it stands for за победу meaning "for the victory". 3 has a Z sound.

:rolleyes:It seems V is a similar idea and stands for power of truth.

Students were told they were havng a day off lectures so they could go to a concert at the stadium. It got "Added to".
People were herded off the streets, one article said, as in "you support Putin don't you?".
"So you do want to hear him speak don't you".
And they weren't likely to say no.

It was like a cross between Kinnock's election conference event, with Nuremberg undertones.

I can understand he has a following of sorts, having increased standards of living for many, but is it slavish devotion or simply fear?, I don't know. He does seem to have turned into a monster.

What about "O" and "Z" inside a square box? They have also been seen on vehicles

Yes reports saying crowd was mixture of those who genuinely wanted to attend and those who were encouraged to.

I noticed how they all had very nice new flags to wave. True fans would have flags they're been carrying for years, these all looked like they'd just been unwrapped.
