Should they go? Yes really, but principles cost you in other ways.
I and others probably, won't vote for him, but it would cause too much disruption, over "stupidity" without any physical consequence at the time, for them to stand down now.
There are more important things to get done. There is the question of whether he's getting them done, but that's another debate!

If there's a big enough call for him to go that it impedes what he does, then pressure will push him out. I wouldn't be crying.
