Trans teenagers

there are always people that are
Shocked
Disgusted
Take offence
Complain

the country is full of the vocal minority who are shocked and disgusted and offended

on behalf of every one else

Dear Transam

You are confusing me with some other here.

When I am disgusted, trsut me hun, I am disgusted.

To tarnish with that dirty brush all young females is not right.

I honestly think we need a more cautious approach to promoting transgender in school. It is seen as cool and trendy by some and supports a culture of non social integration. Not to mention the damage that can be done through hormone therapy.

There really isn’t a healthy way for a man to become a woman. So those who do, need to take great care.

We have a child that goes past our house, with the parent on way to school.

We can’t decide whether it’s a boy or girl, last year “they” had long hair, slightly boyish but could be girlish face.

this year “they” has transitioned to short hair but still looks somewhat indeterminate.

Androgynous. Very popular look in the fashion industry presently. More relevant with young people. Not so good with old duffers. Hate will despise them.

I'm afraid when I see things like this, I slightly despair.

BBC 'retires' education clip that said there are 100 genders - Attitude.co.uk

What I'm about to type might be contentious however that's not my intention. When we're young, we're impressionable. We can be moulded (intentionally or otherwise) to think and feel certain things. Hence why advertisers like to 'get 'em young' when it comes to certain products and so on. Here's my point. You might be a young boy/girl happily going about your life. Then whether by your school, parents or whoever, you're told there are many other genders and that it's ok if you perhaps feel you might not be a boy or a girl.

Whilst on one level this is fine i.e. to educate, to promote equality etc, to me it's possible ... just possible ... that e.g. a little boy who was happily going about his life then starts to think 'wait a minute, maybe I'm supposed to be a girl?' In other words a seed can be planted that has the potential to trigger significant changes in that person's life that would never have been triggered had they not been educated in this stuff from such a young age.

Don't dare jump all over me saying 'oh so you think kids should be kept in the dark about all this stuff until they're 18?!?' that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is, when you're told stuff at a young age, it surely has the potential to take some youngsters down a route that would never have entered their mind if they'd never been told, if that makes sense?
