A good thirty years ago I finished work on Friday at 4pm, got the car out of the car park and drove the two mins to pick my wife up from the back of the supermarket as she only worked half days Fridays and this was our routine.
Waiting in our car on this summer/sunny day I noted about 20 feet in front of me a man about my age started arguing with a down and out guy, not sure why. This young couple, about my age who was walking past stopped and tried to stop the argument. The argument was not very loud but you could see it was trouble and hands waving. The down and out guy saw his chance and walked off. This left the other guy that was arguing initially arguing with the couple. Then it got really heated and then two minicab drivers got out and stopped them. We loaded our shopping and left. That taught me never to butt in unless it was an officer of the law that was being overwhelmed etc as you can often tell who is right or wrong. Even then I'd have to evaluate the risk and complete a quick risk assessment in my head and possible scenarios/aftermaths.

Since the above I've seen a couple of bust-ups at wedding parties where one of the original people in the bust-up walks off leaving the good samaritan in a problem.

I'm a pacifist and a coward as these days even the biggest clown could be and most likely is carrying a weapon and or has parasites waiting in the wings to attack you.

The story below reminded me of the above event.

All that detail from 30 years ago, ridiculous.

When are you going to stop creating stories, which are patently made up.

If you have nothing nice, decent sensible to contribute, why trash a thread as you do?

You may have had a very eventful life but I'm one of those people that recalls stuff from which I've
made an informed decision as stated in my OP

Now, rather than be one of the gang that sets out to abuse me, bully me, trash mine and other threads, please go away and ignore me.
But you won't as this is the type of life you lead by abusing posters on a forum.

You are clearly being nasty and you know that as does your clique here as anyone with an ounce of sense knows that humans do vividly recall event and just because you lie (and that is what you are accusing me of, right) does not mean others do. Ok!

It depends.

I’ve seen some nasty fights in pubs

generally I’d leave alone, unless there was somebody vulnerable needing to be saved.

So I got out of my car & throat punched the man my age that started it all, drop kicked the young man while throwing the young lady over my shoulder & bowling the 2 minicab drivers off their feet with her. Seeing that the down & out guy was close to getting out of range, I pulled my Desert Eagle .44 from its place & popped a cap right between his shoulder blades. 3x backflips & I'm stood above his writhing body & I can hear he's muttering his last words . . . .

I would want to shoot them all probably! All violenti people should be shot....oh hum

Many years ago Mrs Mottie and I were walking along the seafront in Clacton and we heard a terrible commotion going on by the beach. A man was knocking the crap out of a young mother who was pushing a baby in a pram. The baby fell out of the pram and the crowd of people watching, instead of helping, were just laughing at him. Someone called the police and when the policeman arrived, he was attacked by the man who took the policeman's truncheon off of him and beat him with it. The crowd were still laughing and what's worse, there were plenty of kids present too. In the end, a crocodile came along and ate the sausages....

If you got yourself sober for long enough you could remember events from 30 years ago as well.
