There have been predictions of riots for years now, but no riots have occurred. There have been small scale events caused by violent ethnic minorities, but these have only been opportunistic increases in the violence and criminality intrinsic in those communities. The law-abiding majority of the British people accept whatever crazy ideas their governments come up with and I cannot see that changing. I cannot see any demonstrations happening in our country like that in Hong Kong in 2020 where the majority of the population took to the streets, or like in Romania where the leader and his wife were taken out and shot.
Our political system and all our public institutions are rotten to the core. Nohing short of revolution will change things. We need a Churchill or an Alfred the Great.

Considering that the MP in question is now a cabinet minister in charge of some parts of education, her “apology” is littered with mistakes.
One working theory is that the poor quality of ministers is an attempt by Boris to screw his successor.
but the real reason is that johnson is fishing in a very shallow pool of talent
he disposed of most of the competent and principled tories early in his reign, the remainder resigned, and he gave preferment only to those stupid enough to believe in him, or unscrupulous enough to pretend that they did.
You'll notice that some of his dumbest acolytes continue to support him, because they know they have no chances of ever winning a ministerial post from anyone else. If they hang on long enough they may get a gong in the resignation list. In the meantime they get the pay and perks, and plump up their pension.
A very good response is to have a "cleaners only" work event, taking care to provide catering and entertainment of a high standard, and scatter the photos liberally on facebook, mentioning that they were not invited to the main event.
And what exactly do you think our current system would be replaced with? Some sort of utopian model where 100% of society is content, happy and where all governing systems are 100% free of any flaws including lies, deceit and corruption?
I've said it before, we (the human race) can't help ourselves. For goodness sake, since the year dot one bunch of humans has tried to get one over on another. That will never change. If anyone thinks it will, they're deluded.
If we had your uprising, your mass riots, how would our infrastructure, economy and society function in the interim? And how long do you think it would be before traits such as greed, the desire for power etc would start to surface once more?
