Please show me where the UK are obliged to control the french coast and french territorial waters

The UK isn't, but France, like the UK, isn't a prison and there is a limit to what the French authorities can do to stop these migrants, just as there is a limit to what the British can do to stop them arriving. In any case, you should be aware that under the UN charter we are obliged to consider the asylum claims of anyone coming to our country, regardless of how they arrive. And just for good measure the UK was a founding member of the Unm and a signatory to the Charter on Refugees

Mind you perhaps the french don’t know that thousands of migrants are being trafficked by criminals on there coast

If you wanted to take a boat out of the UK and cross the channel, you could easily do it without anybody stopping you. Go to any beach at night and nobody is going to see you. You can't blame the French for not employing a million guards to patrol their 2000 miles of coast line, just in case somebody with a dingy decides to take a moonlit paddle.
