Me neither, but I'd ask Vinty. He thinks there is a third option over the Good Friday Agreement and the NI Protocol.

A 3rd option could be unrestricted access to the single market and unrestricted access to the UK market.
That would be a fair compromise and in line with the Belfast/Good Friday agreement.
Unfortunately the EU doesn't do compremise.

And just why would we get that without the same alignment in standards, etc that other non-members such as Norway and Switzerland havet to agree to? We had the option of remaining in the Customs Union and Single Market but your heroes in the Conservative government threw that away.

We were inside the EU, they have their rules which apply to every third country. We helped set those rules when we were inside the EU. The EU is a lot bigger than the UK, so just why should they change their rules for us? It is pure arrogance to think the world will go on bended knee to Britain these days
