In a lot of national team sports half the players dont sing it anyway, or mumble the words. Let every fan who wants to, sing it from the stands, that can’t be banned. BTW EUFA ban the national anthem being sung by any of the participating nation’s teams.

I have no idea, patriotism/sovereignty means different things to different people, ultimately, they are not capable of objective analysis, but a kind of subjective belief, like religion, in each case with its upsides and downsides. I suppose each gives a sense of belonging, and security, like an extended family. Sadly, many people define how they belong by who they hate on the outside.Do they know why?
