I’ve literally just heard her chatting on LBS to Shelagh Fogerty.

"But where are you really from" is a thing racists often say to people who they think don't look like they belong here.

"Hackney" is not an answer they like.

If you are white, I'll wager nobody has ever said it to you.

Miscommunication maybe?
Yes.
Lady in waiting meant
"oh my god you're one of those foreigners. I find that remarkable, so you must tell me all about your ancestry until I am satisfied, because I am entitled to know".

I hope someone was communicated to Lady SH
" you're a disgusting piece of sh1t so off you f*ck".

Take her "Title" off her.

Golders green about 3 weeks ago. I'm talking to the the Indian home care (Fùck I don't know what her job description should be without offending someone)

I asked her where she was from..... I'm interested I always ask.

Kerala she said. She asked what part of India was I from.... I'm no Gary Lineker so not sure where that come from. I didnt scream racism. We just had a giggle about it.

That's a bit strong.... what side do you shoulder your chips

I get asked it all the time, that and why are you so brown? On a scale of racism from 1-10 I'd call it a 1. However, it's one thing to ask someone who looks a bit Mediterranean its another to ask someone who is clearly not.

The Lady-in-waiting has resigned, (probably before she was pushed).

I've been mistaken as Greek I've been ask by an American what language am I speaking. Do I take offence? Some people just want to be offended...

Let's remember her words
"it was a bit of a blur. "

When I was in South Africa, I was often mistaken for an American. When I’ve been in America, I was often mistaken for an Australian. I wasn’t offended.

During my apprenticeship, o fitted a brake switch on a car while the customer waited. It stopped working the following day. The customer came back and when asked who fitted it, he pointed to me covered in grease and with Curley hair and said "That black kid". Again, I wasn’t offended, I was amused.

Do any black (or Asian or white non-English) people born in England celebrate where they "are from", or have they cut off all ties with their ancestral homeland?

I'd say it depends on who she's talking to and how many chips she has on any particular day.

It's a hard subject and an easy one to get wrong. Some people are frust into these walkabouts without having the skills or the training.

If your unlucky enough to meet Ngozi Fulani then your days vould be numbered

I had Aussies who thought I was Aussie. I don't remember asking anyone to resign.
