Fused spur question

I’ve just checked where the immersion heater used to be. It’s definitely not been used for anything else. Is there anyway to check that old cable to see if it’s live then?

Well now you've disconnected it I would hope it's not still live.
If you look at your pictures and my coloured lines representing your cables, my brown and pink in the socket also have my red going to my orange.

So if you look at the socket 'L' terminal you see the 2 red wires (the real colours of your cables) and brown are connected together then following that to the switch it's directly connected to the red in the 'L' terminal. Not via the switch or missing fuse but direct.

What's on the other end, where the immersion used to be?

Do you have any test kit and know how to use it?

There’s nothing there anymore, I built an airing cupboard and put the door where it used to be. My dad added an extractor fan switch close by but not in the same position. I have a voltage tester and I have a multimeter, I’ve never used a multimeter so dont know how to check anything with it. Thankyou for all your help :)
