So..... Ive had our immersion heater removed from the airing cupboard and the people that did it have left a fused spur in the cupboard that now doesn't go anywhere. I'm fitting a new small cupboard in there and not got a light in there so looking to add one. So, my query is, could I just attach a light fitting to the existing fused spur (which has a switch) and bobs your uncle? Or could I replace the fused spur with a different one that could be used as a light switch for a new fitting? Thanks in advance for an help/advice.

A switched fuse spur is a suitable accessory to use for the new light as long as you change the fuse to a 3A
