Hi, i have a socket ( blue circle) which was behind a fireplace powering an electric fire.

The red circle is the isolating switch containing a 13amp fuse. (also see fuse box photo)

I want to use the socket to power a mounted tv but am wary of amp differences.

What do i need to change to swap this to a normal powered socket?

Nothing. You can plug your TV into that single socket right now, no changes needed
Yes the TV will draw far less current than an electric fire so put a 3A fuse in the plug on the TV.

That’s strange. I plugged in a multitool and it didn’t work. It did work in other sockets though.

Hard to see in that pic cos of the red circle- is there a fuse carrier in that FCU (the red circled device) and is it switched on. Did the electric fire work before you took it off?
