Hi folks, trying to add water to raise the pressure after bleeding the rads, I attach the flexi pipe, I think this is the inlet although no lever looks like small bolts, maybe this is the old flexi type and the oil burner is old, just wanted to check if anyone can help point out the cold water inlet and if the flexi is the right one?

Thanks
S

The photo #4 is not clear enough, but...

It looks as if you need a straight screwdriver, to open the two valves. You turn them 1/4 turn to open, or close. Slot inline with valve/pipe is open, at right angles is closed..

Thanks Harry will take a look, close up it looks like 2 bolts to turn rather than screws.

You've got something like this...

The 'bolt' is on the non-return valve, and shouldn't be touched.
On the other side, you are missing the handle and screw.

Agh I see, so the bottom bolt on my pic I leave alone, so looks as though lever has broken off over time, will I be able to still open that? guess a new flexi needed.

Try a spare hande first. There's probably one on your washing machine isolator.
Or cheap enough to get from a new valve!

Or, of course, use some pliers! :)
