Building extension in rain

building a side extension, concrete is in. brickie started laying the engineering bricks down today, and a few blocks. fduring works it was non stop heavy rain he had to stop.
nothing was covered up, and the bricks and mortar covered in persistent rain. will this have caused issues. also likely to rain her for next 5 days also...
 
It will look shiite and the efflorescence will be wonderful for the rest of your life.
 
If the brickie doesn’t know to cover up on such conditions is he the right person for the job?

This is why building work is stressful. They started laying and it started raining later. I don't think they had anything in hand to cover up with. Will mention it to them
 
And the blocks and bricks that are yet to be used should be kept dry

You can’t lay soaking wet bricks or blocks and do a good job
