MP dodges TAX

Obviously, that's what this whole thread is about. But as explained in my post, according to the article you linked, that doesn't automatically mean she has a tax liability.
It would be a simple case of saying because of X and Y, I didn’t have to pay any tax. But she didn’t.

Her tweet revealed a lack of understanding of the tax rule which is why the media have pounced on her. That and the hypocrisy of benefiting from right to buy and then complaining about it being too generous. Plus her neighbours saying she was lying about living there.

Even the guardian version can’t dress up the fact that her account is full of holes.

People will conclude what they want and the lefties will jump on any scrap to protect their queen. The guardian tried but can’t explain away the issues

It is perfectly reasonable to question why Motorbiking, Mottie, you and some others here have never ever commented on Tory bogus PPE contracts and dodgy VIP lane
All I know is that whoever is involved in ppe and vaccination contracts, I got my jans on time, so did my family and none of us have died of covid. So did you and many others. Who should we blame for that?

A lack of understanding tax rules sounds like it wasn't deliberate.

So as long as it is sorted then all is corrected. And doesn't happen again otherwise it would be much harder to explain.

I don't remember you making much comment over other cases, where the rules were known. Boris decorating his flat for example.

Do you think she is in the same league?

She's never had the chance. Very few labour politicians have but you wait and see what happens if they were ever to get in power. Mind you, it’ll stop JohnD from posting I suppose so not all bad.

Tory faithful . See how bad Labour will be, rather than accept where a real problem actually is

Dan Neidle, a tax expert, said: “Mark and Angela either nominated her property as their joint main residence so he (Mark) had tax to pay and she didn’t. Or a lot of building work was done on her property. “I don’t think this is a very big issue, I don’t think there’s much tax to pay and I’m uncomfortable with forcing MPs to divulge their personal financial information.

Mot or bi king is jumping on the Tory bandwagon and playing their tune to make a song and dance abut this small matter which amounts to nothing in the face of his party overlord's desperation to deflect from their atrocious track record over the past 14 years.

I don’t recall the tax man being so forgiving when an employer made a mistake on my p60 and then issued a correction without informing me. I had to pay interest for late payments. It wasn’t much, but I had to pay.

So you think she is clever enough to possibly be in charge of a country but not clever enough to grasp basic tax laws

He is speculating.

And I’d rather we had half as many MPs and 1/3rd as many lords. Most of them are a waste of time and money. But there are people on this forum that only want to focus on the failures of the current crop and hide the fact that Labour will be far worse if they get in.
