Depends what you are trying to stop and what you are trying to achieve. Success with any non-professional tanking systems is usually very limited.
We've had all the other walls tanked (through a project manager) but then we took on the work ourselves as the costs were spiralling and the work was shoddy. We've found out that that particular wall wasn't tanked (even though we've paid for tanking) and building regs say the whole place needs to be tanked. We asked for the work to be remedied but the project manager refused.
