Of course, the noise could be coming from the back.......(if it has discs) - ignore if drums!

With the windows down it should be possible to confirm front or back, OS or NS.

If it's a scraping noise it could be the discs rubbing on the backplate that keeps the water off them.......however, the garage should have been wise to this!

Just a quick one , what do you think the garage will do to fix the squeak ? . I took it to my local garage with the same problem about 4 months ago and they changed all the disks and pads .

They may consider replacing the brake caliper on that side - or at least see how easy it is to push the piston back in.

It's one of those minor problems, which is worth investigating yourself, a bit of DIY. Jack that corner up, wheel off - then try pushing the brake pads/caliper pistons away from the disk..

I had it jacked up with the wheel off on the weekend but I was just looking for stones in the guard around the disk . I'll jack it up again this weekend
