When receiver is told to turn off by stat does the green demand light go off ?

What was the thermostat that you replaced and did the boiler operate correctly with the old stat?
Could you post a picture of your wiring?

Did you note the colour of the wires going to the old stat and do you have a dual, or single channel Hive?
Just to confirm, is the photo with the wiring, what was connected to the old stat (I notice terminal 4 is missing) and you haven't moved any wires?

Move the green/yellow wire to terminal 3.
The green/yellow wire (and the grey wire) should be marked with a brown sleeve to denote it as a switched live wire.
Hopefully, that should work.
