There's a fuse board in my outbuilding (with nothing currently attached to it) and I'd like to add a simple lighting and socket setup. Three lights all controlled by one switch, and four or five plug sockets spaced around the room. Unfortunately I can't get the images in the FAQ thread at the top of this forum to load, so I'd just like to check here that these diagrams are correct before I do anything. Thanks!

Yes, that's right -

except that there will be an earth wire in and out of the switch (whether needed or not) and

all the joints will be in the switch, lights and sockets.

Unfortunately the WIKI/FAQ drawings have timed out and nobody has bothered to reinstate.

But some questions:
How is power provided to the outbuilding
”fuseboard”?
Is this power feed 30mA RCD-protected?
What will the load be on the sockets. Any large loads?

PS. Adding these new circuits even to an existing “fuse board” is notifiable work and also must comply with the current edition of BS7671. Let’s see a photo of the existing box. Thanks.

It's being looked into soon five years ago apparently.

Thanks for your reply -- See attached photo. As for 'large loads,' I asked the electrician who installed the unit and he said that nothing I intended to run would be a problem. The context is that he suggested I wire the lights and sockets myself, and he return to check over and ok the work.
