It seems commando sockets are permitted. I have looked at some outdoor sockets
yes has an RCD, and it does say on the socket "suitable for electric vehicle charging" but it seems unlikely it will have PEN fault detection. As to if it needs it, we simply don't know.
I know my drive is steep in parts, and one can understand visitors to the front door touching the car. So must ensure the car is not live.
£50 for an outdoor socket does seem a bit steep when this
costs £25, since all in my house is RCBO protected then this
at £10.27 seems acquit. I am sure I can stick a label on it. This
will cost around £95, and this
around £51.65 once one starts to add up the cost of all the parts,
add another £274.95 for 32 amp cable, one starts to ask, is it worth it?
