If you ask the Russian people, they like Putin and support him, A lot of Russians live in Ukraine and so it is inevitable there will be people there who would support and want liberating.

Not entirely true, yes in a way it is. true however it is also true that many people did like Starlin and the USSR. everything was simpler for them whereas now they are poor.
