Can a pressurised cylinder for hot water be used in a fully pumped open vented system (not a sealed system)?

I'm just wondering as it would allow change to sealed system at later date without requiring new pressurised cylinder.

Yes, the primary and secondary circuits can be open vented or pressurised in any combination
