English Cooking

A bit ridiculous doing that and pouring sugar on it. Get some english mustard or honey in it instead
Who, in their right minds, adds mustard to porridge?

Oh, sorry, answered my own question, in their right minds, lol.

Loony! :p

Yes, I lost 2 stone when I was in hospital but have put 1 back on. I'm happy with that but the dietician wanted me to go a little more.
I went into hospital at 165 kg and now I'm 151.

It's not easy. You have to be firkin strict with yourself.

Portion size. Be really strict. Apart from one piece or one portion of fruit, or a handful of nuts or a dollop of Greek yogurt, do not eat anything between meals.

I have now plateaued at 151. So I have to push through the wall and be even stricter.

I want to be sub 100 kg. I want to shift what the docs call my central adiposity.

I have the beginnings of fatty liver disease which is like cirrhosis but without the alcohol.

I know you (and I and others) love food. But we love life more, right?

It's going to be hard, but if you want to start a weight loss thread, I'm happy to join you, and anyone else, and we can support each other.

Thats a damn good idea, fad diets are pointless and a complete lifestyle change is required which is not easy by any stretch. The support of others is critical to stay on track and to swap diet meals and ideas. @Bazza-spark is seriously overweight along with @pete01 and the idea of supporting each other is a great idea. If it helps at all I too have some great slimming meal recipes.

I had an ultra sound 2 weeks ago and the lady doing the scan said that had a fatty liver....

My doc rang me to give me the results of the scan...."Oh, all ok with the scan, you have a fatty liver, all ok"...ended call..

Really?

No further investigations?

Not sure about kilogrammes, but I went in last August with kidney failure and weighing 12 stone. Didn't take long to drop to 10, and I was on dialysis in ITU.

A week later they told me I have pulmonary fibrosis and it's terminal.

Spent a month in hospital, camera up the bum as they weren't happy with my CT scan and eventually told I have Crohnes disease as well.

Back home for a couple of weeks then taken in with pneumonia.

Now they want to shove another camera up and look at something else. No chance!

I just want to die quietly and without pain, and in the meantime enjoy posts like this.
