The immensity of the universe is beyond the understanding of everyone on here.

How many millions/billions of planets would these supposed inter stellar travellers, have to visit to find
intelligent life, in just the 100 billion planets, that is just in our Galaxy,
Never mind up to 2 trillion Galaxies in the observable universe.

With 'supposedly' recovered NHI already in some government hands, i can see other new technologies coming to the forefront making our existing means of propulsion seem archaic!

People may scoff at that but, so many have been coming forward over the last few years as whistleblowers that it just cant be ignored.

Distance, time, physics are all just a human construct.
Just? I'd say they are pretty robust.

Whether you measure the distance in km or in alien !¢§¥!, the distance does not change. The realities of space frighten people like yourself, so you wrap your self around the notion that humans can conquer space. I get that. It's simply not going to happen.

Assuming it can't use gravity or isotopes mined on the way.

If there was anything on the way, we'd see it already.

Space is all but empty. That's how we can see - clearly - galaxies and stars that are tens of billions of light years away.
There's no fluff and fuzz to blur them.

How many times do I have to tell you that I and the thread are talking about an entity coming of some sort coming here and not us going anywhere

What a daft nonsense statement "space is empty that's why we can see through it". Are you 9 years old

80% of the universe is dark matter - its called that because we dont yet know what it is. Space is far from "empty"

"Hypothesised to be" is the phrase you're looking for ;-)

Funny how one side of the debate is rooted in knowns and provens: the other, in fantasies and speculations...........

......until one of those speculations suddenly becomes "fact", when it is required as a foundation of their position. (y)

For hugely less money, and right now (rather than hundreds of years from now).

Plus, the information gleaned from the telescope can be pored over by many, many people.
Relying on the skills, interpretations, and even opinions of just a handful of humans "on the ground" is suboptimal.

Although you won't accept it, I'll try again: I am sticking with reality, while you're relying on fantasies.
So those telescopes will be able to tell 100 % that those planets are habitable and with no danger for future generation colonisation now who would have thought radio telescopes could pick up living things
Fantasies you do know that they have managed to put living things into suspended animation already
And?
Unless you are advocating spending continents' worth of cash and millennia of effort, in the hopes of coming up with the spin-off a better sock / frying pan / rawl plug [insert other groundbreaking product here] (y)
Just think its all those billions they spent in the sixties thats allowing you to put your daily drivel up now .... So perhaps your right it would saves us having to read it
