First post - hello everyone. :giggle:
I have an old K2.900 and the dirt blaster lance needs replacing. I have managed with the thin washer trick to get it spinning again which has worked intermittently for a couple of years but now has become frustratingly worse.
A new one looks to be about £60 but I can buy a whole new washer that comes with one for £80. My hose is also on its way out too.
My first question is this. Is the dirt blaster that comes with it the same for all kits so a £400 kit comes with the same dirt blaster as a £80? Dirt blaster being the one with the spinning ball baring.
And my current one is 1.4KW 100 bar - if I buy the cheap one with these same specs will I be disappointed that it is not as good as my old one for some reason.
Thanks everyone

Also just been looking on ebay and I can get a pattern dirt blaster for £10 - anyone have any experience with these compared to the karcher one
thanks.

A while ago I bought a proper lance off a guy on Ebay who worked on karcher stuff, he said the lance karcher include is useless, he sold me one which kind of has a spinning action as it sprays created by the force of the water, if that's the type you mean then get it, no hesitation. It makes a kind of humming noise and it a fantastic powerfully jet
I still see people on our road have to take all day cleaning their drive, but when I go out with a proper lance, I am finished in an hour

Thanks for your reply. Yes that spinning one is called a dirt blaster lance and is great and its that one that has worn out for me with my old kit. On their own they are between £30-£40
As my hose was also a bit iffy I decided to buy a brand new K2 unit that comes with the dirt blaster lance and another one all for £75 with 5 years guarantee.
I found that the new lance still fits to my old trigger gun. So I could of just brought the dirt blaster lance but for £35 it didn’t make any sense as the hose was on its way out and the unit is over 10 years old and could kerput at any time.

That makes great sense
It's so long ago since I bought that lance, I can't remember much about it other than I met the guy at little chef carpark, near knutsford services, bought the reinforced hose the lance and a bottle of the secret wax solution he sells to car wash companies ;) it's served me well, but then I always drain off the washer and hose before storing too
