Complete new fitting or just bulb??
installed by yourself if so where sourced from [uk or ce[china export]??
does the bulb/light unit come out as a easilly replaceable item ??

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me, Im in the uk
My Electrician installed it for me
The lights where all newly put up the wiring was done in 2018/19, the lights have all been replaced a few weeks ago as the old ones where getting water in (but the cables didnt get wet)

It is the light on the right
I have attached a picture of my light

have a word with your electrician and take it from there
iff you supplied the lighting then the outcome will be different compared to him supply and fit
as in you supply the lights and he fits correctly then he is entitled to charge you for ongoing actions
if he supplies, then he would carry the cost and time involved

That's good to know, thanks for telling me!
He is coming to do the alarms and emergency light testing next week, i will get him to have a look

You say “turned them off” - are the others the same and do they make the same noise ?

Hi there, So there are 4 of these exact light fittings, only 1 has been having this issue, There is two cables going down 1 side of the conduit for an unknown reason, but the luminaire only requires 1 cable, i have not looked at his wiring yet, but maby he has connected them and there is too much voltage? But then the light wasn't doing it for the first few weeks so it cant of been that? I have had to turn the lights back on, as my grandparents live in a verry dark area and don't like the lights not being on, it is on a pir (controls 2 lights per sensor) so isnt on all the time. Im not sure if you have much of an electrical background (i dont) but i remember son-e lights starting up ignitor was verry loud if u know what that sounds like is a bit like that but slightly louder, (its led-so no ignitor anything like that)

Thanks for everyone's help, My electrician came yesterday, apparently there was water in the fitting, this is a continuous problem with any fitting in that location, we have put silicone around it again hopefully that does the job, i need to get some sort of cover or something to prevent water getting in maby?

The light needs replacing, it shouldn't have water inside but some are rubbish.
