Shower tray recommendation?

I've fitted multiple shower trays in the past, but this time I'm striving for perfection! All the trays I've fitted to date have had the same problem in that water sits on the flat edge where the enclosure and the tray meet. This water dries after a while of course, but it annoys me! It's a design flaw! Anyway (breathe), I was just wondering if there's a shower tray out there with a slightly beveled top edge that sheds water into the tray more readily?
One can only ask! Thank you!

Nope - all the trays I've ever fitted and I've certainly fitted a fair few, all have a flat outside edge. Specifically to allow and enclosure etc to fit flat and square to it probably, that'll allow it to be sealed properly I would think.

I certainly wouldn't suggest it's a design flaw.

Just found one by 'Crosswater'!

Well every day's a school day, can't say I've ever fitted a crosswater tray though. What type of enclosure is it designed for?

If it's being tiled down to then wouldn't see an issue with that type of edge, if it's getting an enclosure with square edged glass panels or just a open ended shower glass panel, then I could see issues trying to keep everything square, supported and watertight.

Re: watertight

I wold have thought that that profile would get you a better seal and you get more sealant at the point where you need it most, i.e. where the tile meets the tray and the wall

You may end up with a slightly bigger bead than otherwise, but that's mot necessarily a bad thing

On a tiled enclosure, certainly no issue with that as I suggested.

If it's large heavy glass panels that sit directly on the tray edge then that slope could create a bit of an issue.

If the shower tray sides don't slope for water run off, lay some tiles on the edges to slope down from the outer edge to the shower tray.

I have an over the bath shower and was getting a pool of water on the window sill so I created a slope with tiles so the water runs off into the bath and all is well. The slope only needs to be a tile's depth.
