It’s called a self fulfilling prophecy, the correct approach is to ask the mods to delete the thread, the object of which is essentially about people who join the forum and hit the ground running.

If some of the old timers hold opinions, which are considered hateful, disrespectful or abusive, they deserve to be scrutinised and challenged.
If that results in a ban, it suggests a problem at a higher level.

I have not been abusive to anyone.
But I have been subjected to abuse from you and others for holding a different opinion.
But I'm pretty thick skinned and it doesn't bother me in the least. Abuse does not encourage me to change my opinion, quite the reverse, it reinforces my opinion.
