You don't think there are numerous examples of constructions that predate the pyramids?Now explain where the results of these many many years of perfecting the techniques are .

there are several records of construction projects that predate the pyramids. Notable examples include Göbekli Tepe, a religious site in Turkey, and the Tower of Jericho, a structure in modern-day Palestine. Furthermore, the Anu Ziggurat in Uruk, a Sumerian city, also predates the pyramids.
Many early and limited populations collapsed suddenly. This does not mean, they were there one day, and they'd disappeared the next.As for people not being avialable to build them was this a global thing then with all the other pyramids
It means they reduced and died out over a few years, or a few decades, even a couple of centuries, perhaps. That is suddenly in relevance to prehistory periods.
When a small population practices human sacrifice, especially if those humans are young females, the ultimate effect on the population is obvious.
