We have a Siemens SN65M030GB/16 dishwasher and I must have had the damn thing apart half a dozen times to fix various leaks and other faults over the years. The same guts are in several other dishwashers of that era (Bosch etc).
This time, I can see through the inspection panel that it seems to have sprung a leak in the vicinity of the water distributor motor (there is water dripping down the side of the motor housing as circled in red). Before I drag the entire dishwasher out and pull it apart, has anyone seen this fault before and know what is most likely to have failed? Drips are one every ten seconds or so.
The water distribution motor assembly comes with a seal (which doesn't appear to be available separately and I assume seals it to the bottom of the sump) so my money at the moment is on that having failed. It isn't likely to the be the main sump seal as I've put the retro-fit extra seal kit on that in recent years, and having got my hand in, I can't feel any dampness in that area.
Thanks.
