I want to install an 8-module Euromodule plate like this:

But I can't find a suitable back box. I dread to think what a PITA it would be to have to install two separate ones and ensure that they were perfectly spaced and aligned. Do double ones exist?

The photo is of a BG product - I have asked them about a suitable box, but in the meantime can anybody suggest another make? That would also be helpful to know because the BG one is the only one I've managed to find. Are they really uncommon?

The BG catalogue clearly gives the part number for the box to go with their double row euro module plate HGS07/C2

Scholmore do an 8 module Euro plate, but it's 8 modules in a single row rather than two rows of four nodules

Must be a slow day here.

Well no, not really, as with it taking clip in modules, there re two bldy great holes in the front providing access to the boxes with the plate in place.

Chop out the wall
Fix the 2 back boxes to the front plate
Offer it up, get it level, mark holes for fixing screws
Drill & plug the holes
Boxes will then be in the right places

Has anyone got a selection of facepalm emojis I could pick from?

Would still be interested to know of other makes, not that there's anything wrong with the BG one, as far as I can see.

That will teach me to only download the Euromodule section.

Mind you - you'd think they would identify their complementary products.

Still - I'm glad I didn't think about it enough before posting, as downloading the full catalogue tells me about this

which is what I was going to make out of modules. I knew that there were these combination/multimedia plates around, but I'd only ever seen gargantuan ones.

Just seen this re the equivalent MK product.

I think laughs are being had.

Well this is interesting.

I just pasted the link into my post, and this is how my post ended up

Flameport's looks like this

A different format. My link works, his doesn't.

My theory is that MK hope that specifiers will only compare the "basic" products and won't notice the high prices of the more unusual products until it's already too late. Either that or they think the kind of people who buy media plates are the kind of people who will specify MK no matter the cost.

Fit the backboxes to the front plate correctly then super glue strips of wood(the coffee stirrers from Maccys,Costa etc are perfect) then the boxes will stay in the right place when you fit them in the wall
