The article you have linked to says (after all the misinformation) that the arresting officers had an arrest warrant for the man.It is almost certainly true. His lawyer stated he'd entered legally through the CBP app which is the proper method. He had turned up to his scheduled appointment so presumably he'd brought the required paperwork.

Afghan who aided U.S. Army detained by ICE in San Diego Immigration Court
“I came here to make a better life,” said the client during his arrest. “I didn’t know that this would happen… I worked with the U.S. Military.”timesofsandiego.com
As to what happened? His lawyer hasn't been able to contact him, so who knows.

He can't be a very good lawyer if he doesn't even know why his client was attending a deportation hearing. They did. It didn't have any charges on it, his lawyer doesn't know what his client is charged with or even where he is.
This is not justice. This is the Trump administration targeting people who are going through the asylum process, including people who were vital to the US military in Afghanistan. But you probably don't give a **** about that.
And what 'misinformation' are you on about?

The military hate him more than civies do.He might have missed his best chance with the far right riots.
No he wasn't there because he was going to be deported. He was there because the government asked to summarily deport him, and the judge said no as they didn't have a good enough case. The judge scheduled a further hearing. He can't be a very good lawyer if he doesn't even know why his client was attending a deportation hearing.
The article you linked to says that he was at the court because he was going to be deported and the hearing he attended on that day is to make him aware of his rights.
Regardless of that, a judge (not Trump, he does not, and can not sign arrest warrants)
Issued an arrest warrant for the man.
Both his lawyer and the media are lying by ommission in their account of what really happened.
Lirefighter is a full on MAGA, so he will lie to support the divine leaderNo he wasn't there because he was going to be deported. He was there because the government asked to summarily deport him, and the judge said no as they didn't have a good enough case. The judge scheduled a further hearing.
But the government doesn't accept that, so arrested him afterwards for reasons unknown.
