The switched live is the one on the second from left, the neutral is the second from right. The permanent lives are in the middle block. EDIT #2- As per @pete01 - I have them arse about face.

I am not an electrician.

Edit #1, the lives in the middle need to be kept together.

One of those live wires runs down to the light switch. The switched live runs from the switch to the light rose.

The colour of a cable alone does not indicate if it is live or neutral.

The live is on the right (single black don't lose this mark it red)

The neutral is on the left

The 3 reds in the middle are the loop, these don't connect to the light.

I think the flex has been connected the wrong way.

Yes the 3 reds just connect together and nothing else, typically put all 3 into a single piece of connector block or a 3way wago.

To clarify what's been said:-
The single black is the switched live (currently wrongly connected to the blue lampholder flex, should be the brown).
The two blacks are the neutrals (currently wrongly connected to the brown lampholder flex, should be the blue).

Sorry, but this makes no sense to me. @pete01’s picture does. Isn’t the switched black with red sleeving?

Hopefully doing this and making them both look the same will make it clearer

Your existing flex should be the colours arrowed, the blue arrow being Neutral and the brown arrow being Live

Apologies, must be the poor quality photo, my eyes or the way I’m looking at it, as I see red sleeving on one, or I thought I did :D
Oh... well spotted - I had to look on a different PC to see what you are talking about.
And no mention of any existing problems.

Yeah, I had to go to maximum brightness and zoom in on my iPad :giggle:
