ceiling light fitting

Hi,Got a new flush ceiling light for back bedroom,on old ceiling fitting there are 3 red wires together, 2 black wires together, and 1 black wire single,on my new light fitting ther are 3 connection points, Live,Neutral,Earth (no earth wire in our house)I have tried 3 reds in the Live, and 3 blacks in the neutral, which blow the fuse,can anyone please help,any advise most welcome.

3 reds by them selves in a terminal block - do not connect to light.

2 blacks to neutral of light.

1 black to live on light.

If the light you are fitting is metal, you MUST have an earth. Otherwise take it back.

AFAICT, he did:

But to be fair to Andy, crafty, if he did, why didn't he replace the wires as he found them in the old rose?
