Will he go all the way in this Murdoch and WSJ debacle?
Me thinks he will chicken out

It's a tricky one. I have no idea.

But Murdoch controls Fox News.

If it's a choice between telling the truth under oath or chickening out and losing billions - he'll take the latter.

I too suspect the handle Taco will hold.
Dominion voting machine etc Fox News reporting cost Murdoch in the courts. I suspect Murdoch will have been consulted before the signed doodle note was published in WSJ so big guns will be getting oiled, primed and aimed at Mar-a-Lago

If Trump backs down, will it hit his pocket?

Third option : lie under oath.
He might be stupid...

He will likely be out of the 'Presidential immunity' period, by the time court comes around. He may give a sworn deposition though, but it will likely be vague and contain lots of nebulous 'failed memory', non-answers i.e. I don't remember blah, blah...

The interesting thing here is money. With money comes power and the Murdoch's have plenty of it. Trump on the other hand is precariously sat atop a mound of power that will abruptly end in 3.5 years. His base are likely to lose their appetite for Tumpian misdeeds by then as he will have nothing to offer them in return for their hard earned dollars.

wtf y'all talkin' 'bout.

The Teflon Tw@ has escaped impeachment twice and still became president after inciting an insurrection against the US Senate after the '20 election.

Nothing will come of it.

I don't see anyone proving he's the author of the supposed card.
Murdoch loses.

You may be right.

So far Don has managed to stall (almost) every effort to face justice and his gullible base have believed every word the lying scumbag has uttered. In 3.5 years time, there will not be another presidency. No more fundraising for a better life under Trump. No more Presidential immunity. Mega-donors will scatter. His broader team will dissolve.

It will be an interesting watch, for sure.

I doubt that.

You only have to see the MAGA who are losing everything RIGHT NOW yet, when asked if they'd vote differently next time, they reply that they just wouldn't vote at all.
In spite of everything, they just can't bring themselves to "cheat" on Orangina.

But i would love to be proved wrong.

I doubt the litigation will centre around just that one note. There will be a lot more unseen stuff out there. People will have VCR footage, witnesses, middle aged women with good memories. Trump was pally with Epstein for a long time. He's a notorious sexual predator. I would be extremely surprised if he hasn't messed around with under age girls. Trump has more to lose here than Murdoch, that's for sure.

I'd like to see him shoot Murdoch in the face just to see if he can get away with it.

And that's the crux. What use is Trump without the power? I understand his grip/influence on the MAGA base is almost hypnotic. But there will be power shifts, once his Presidency is over. He may be useful to the new order, but only if he's not bogged down in litigation and fending off child sex allegations etc.

With Murdoch already agreeing not to publish but his editors going above his head it could give trump the upper hand
