Totally predictable: Trump discusses giving land to Russia

The max Pootin can expect is to keep Crimea, give or take. The West must continue to stand up to his aggression.

Statistics show that last year, during July 2024, Russia launched just over 400 drones over Ukraine. A year later, in July of this year, it launched more than 6,400 drones and missiles. Looking at the infographic that visualises this comparison and trying to comprehend the absurd figure of an increase of almost 1,380%...We know exactly when the situation got worse: after Donald Trump came to power. For the Trump 2.0 world, an unsubstantiated promise of peace is already equivalent to peace. But the war did not stop for a moment. It got worse. The Ukrainian data journalism website Texty.org.ua analysed Russian missile and Shahed strikes on 12 frontline and neighbouring regions after Trump’s inauguration. Two months before, the Odesa region was struck twice; two months after, there were more than two dozen strikes.

The West can push him back
I don't see it. 1200km of front line?
How many Westerners would go to fight?
If the West gives U offensive arms, P will hit them in Poland or wherever, then it expands.
P is being supplied by China, North Korea, Iran, even India is friendly. Russia pulled back from Afghanistan but that's not on their doorstep.

I can envisage a war of the drones - but he has a headstart. I doubt the west's superior(?) tech would help much.

The West can push him back

No, America can push him back, the EU plus UK plus NATO counties excluding the US cannot. I can understand criticism of Trump for not ending the war within 24 hours as promised, that was a stupid thing for Trump to say.

The fact remains, If Trump achieves nothing in the next 2 years and 4 months, he's equalled Bidens record on the matter, other than Trump at least had the balls for a face to face with Putin.

We can if we work together and build up a militia/ national service. Finland has a milllion reservists

I can understand criticism of anyone who believed that and his other self serving spur of the moment pronouncements

Trumpf’s instinct is to wash his hands of Europe. It’s only the thought of the peace prize and minerals that keeps him going.Bidden acted responsibly and saw the threat.

He's so desperate for that Peace Prize he even tapped up the King of Norway for a recommendation.

He shouldn't get it just because he thinks he deserves one.

He should have got it for the Abraham Accords, that alone is significantly more that Obama did for his.
