The filter is under the regulating valve assembly under the large plastic cover. They can be a real mare to get apart. Unless you have a gauge on it you need to remember the settings as you really need to release the spring pressure first.
We have a Megaflow and when ours was blocking up we had reduced pressure on the cold taps and normal pressure on the hot taps for up to a minute, then the same as the cold. The reason was because the blockage doesn’t reduce pressure, only flow and the bubble in the tank would supply the hot water flow for a while

Unvented cylinders normally have the ( balanced) cold after the dedicated UV cylinder PRV (pressure reducing valve), the plastic air baffle on the Megaflos are prone to break up and blocking the hot outlets but shouldn't affect the cold supply.

Yes and get one with a gauge. Do you know what the static and dynamic mains pressure is? Presumably it's high driving the requirements for one to be fitted?
