What are the symptoms of the filter in a pressure reducing valve being partially blocked. Are they usually easy to clean out/removable?

PRV on what? Guessing it would reduce or stop any flow if bad enough.

We have a Megaflow and when ours was blocking up we had reduced pressure on the cold taps and normal pressure on the hot taps for up to a minute, then the same as the cold. The reason was because the blockage doesn’t reduce pressure, only flow and the bubble in the tank would supply the hot water flow for a while

Unvented cylinders normally have the ( balanced) cold after the dedicated UV cylinder PRV (pressure reducing valve), the plastic air baffle on the Megaflos are prone to break up and blocking the hot outlets but shouldn't affect the cold supply.

Thanks I think this is the pressure reducer on the incoming mains. Not the one that's part of a composite valve
