Industrial style lamp.

I have an industrial type pendent light that I saved from being scrapped and want to turn it into a lamp for the corner of the room but im stuck for ideas on making the stand for it, the light is quite heavy so I suppose it needs a wide or weighted base does anyone have any suggestion on what would be the best way forward, I need some ideas and cant find similar lights that have been turned into lamps, Thank you.

Do you want to have them as an uplighter or a hanging pendant. Perhaps fit it to a tripod

I'd like to still have it hanging but I suppose with the length of the chain the stand would need to be about 6-7ft tall so the light isnt too low down, I think if I used a tripod the legs would probably splay out too much for the corner i want it in, I could reduce the size of the chain or even get rid of it and connect it to a stand from the loop but its one of those projects where I really need to think about what to do before I get started otherwise it will end up being wrong. Thank you.

Do you have a smithy anywhere in your location? An offset hook type of arrangement pulled from 1&1/4" barrel would make a good hanging frame. Something along the lines of a birdcage hanger but more heavy duty.

They look a bit heavy, so I would make a base on wheels for each, which they could swivel on to point up or down, you know, like those theatre lights or search lights.

The theatre PAR-Cans could be supplied with floor frames, so perhaps Lee Lighting could help/advise you.

I think this the best style of stand to go for but the stand needs to match the industrial look of the light so I think maybe I should go with this style but use steel piping and some joints to get the same sort of result.

Thats a fair point because once a stand is made for it the combined weight would be heavy so maybe a nice set of castor wheels for the base would be a good idea.

When you mentioned wheels did you mean so I could adjust the angle of the stand rather than being able to move it on wheels?
